NOAA publishes geomagnetic activity forecasts - the source of auroras. Visit the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) for more information and some cool animations. Thirty-minute forecasts and three-day forecasts are available.
An aurora was visible March 30, 2022. Someone in the neighborhood was able to film it with a time-lapse camera. It was a very impressive display.
In September 2022, Doug captured the Aurora from Fairbanks, Alaska!
October 21st we were treated to an early morning aurora a couple hours before sunrise.
Haven't figured out how to video or time lapse with my new phone, but the images in this animation were taken just a few seconds apart.
